Sportster has been designed as a cross-country wing. We intended Sportster to be a wing not only for C-class purposes. High achievable performance and controllable flight characteristics under extreme conditions, make Sportster a first-choice glider for ambitious cross-country pilots.
Controllable performance - is the shortest and to the point description for Sportster.
The ultimate strenghts of Sportster are outstanding gliding performance, a well-tempered attidude under extreme conditions and its characteristics in thermal flying. It can evenly and efficiently be turned in thermal and conveys a feel-good factor to the pilot even in turbulent flight conditions. That is why Sportster is predestinated for cross-country purposes.
In general it is advisable to choose a size, where your weight is in the midst respectively in the upper third of the weight range the wing is certified for. Sportster is designed for purposes, where pilots favourably want to have an extra square metre, thus a lower sink rate, while others prefer higher final speed. That's why we have chosen quite overlapping weight ranges for Sportster. Thus every paragliding pilot can choose a size that meets his requirements best.
Designing Sportster, we deliberately abdicated the ultimate pinch of performance and rather focused on achievable performance.
Flying Sportster you can experience the result in form of a great feel-good factor – stressless flying, yet high achievable performance.
For Sportster we have chosen material, which offered an ideal compromise on weight reduction, durability and robustness. Every material we use is mady by leading manufacturers, whom we have been working and cooperating with in development issues for many years. A solid basis for high quality and for your long lasting enjoyment of flying Sportster.
