independence was founded by paragliding and hang-gliding pilots. We live for flying, thus we know what you expect of our products and services. We give all our experience for your enjoyment of flying.

In the early days, many first paraglider models and rescue devices were developed that were groundbreaking in their time. Through intensive study of the subject, creative ideas, material tests and technical know-how, we now develop rescue parachutes, for example, which are always a decisive step ahead of other devices in terms of innovation and safety. Countless pilots have trusted our rescue equipment for many years and today we are the market leader for rescue parachutes.

We are also constantly driving forward the development of our paragliders and harnesses and can now offer every paraglider pilot an equipment package that is optimally suited to their area of use.

The team behind independence

Behind independence are mainly paraglider and hang glider pilots. Since flying is our passion, we know what pilots expect from the equipment and our service, and we let all our experience flow in where it benefits flying fun and safety.

Stefan is our CEO and is one of the pilots who once belonged to the pioneers in paragliding. Since 1984 he is a hang-gliding pilot. In 1989 paragliding and hang-gliding became a basis for his profession.

Alex, also known as Staudi, is paragliding and hang-gliding pilot, too, and made it his profession many years ago. He too, once was one of the first people to started paragliding. He is responsible for our sales department and best contact person for questions regarding harnesses.

Rudi is also a paraglider pilot and flight instructor from the very beginning. The German paragliding champion in 1989 and 1990 started hang gliding in 1986. He is our contact person and specialist for checks, parachute packing and repairs.
