Series performance comparison
At independence we have been developing reserves for 30 years - countless pilots have been trusting our rescue equipment ever since and often tell us about their experience using it in emergency cases and during safety trainings. Reason for us to continuously enhance and enlarge our reserve series. For every wallet, every starting weight from 50 to 300kg and every field of application there's an ideal rescue parachute available.
Quality always prevails
Our customers have high expectations of reserves as in an emergency case their life depends on the rescue systems! We put our heart and soul into development and precise manufacture, but apart from that material selection is the key criterion, which sorts the wheat from the chaff.
We only use raw material made by renowned companies, who are able to grant the best possible quality. How can someone recognise this quality? Unfortunately it's almost impossible to recognise at first sight. To give an example: we use only uncoated ripstop nylon fabric for our rescue systems. In order to achieve the required air impermeability, our fabrics then pass several times through thermomechanical heat calender treatments. An elaborate and costly process. But there is a significant advantage of material processed that way in comparison to material with a simple and cheap coating. The difference can clearly be seen in durability e.g. after contact with water!
Many cheaply processed fabrics, which are used to manufacture rescue systems, are moisture-sensitive. That means, that after a safety training with a splashdown such a coating is already impaired and the reserve's sink rates increase dramatically. At independence we have been avoiding such deficiencies ever since by using high-grade fabrics.
The quality of our products is absolutely worth the effort.
